The Castle Inn Rental Policies 

Please read the policies for the Castle Inn before you reserve a room.  The Castle Inn is The Best Hotel in Helen with River Views and Balconies for your enjoyment and we want you to enjoy your stay! 

Accessibility

The Castle Inn is NOT Handicap Accessible.

​To maintain the history and structure of the building we have not altered the hotel to be handicap accessible.


Please understand you will need to climb stairs as there is no elevator. Hotel rooms are located up a flight of stairs from the Main Street / shop level, or up two flights of stairs from the parking area.

Reservation Policy 

We accept Visa and/or MasterCard. Sorry, no pets allowed. NO SMOKING allowed inside any of the rooms and a $75.00 fee will be charged to you if this happens.
*$5.00 State of Georgia Tourist Tax applies to all reservations

Cancellation Policy 

You can cancel 5 days before arrival date with no cancellation fee. Cancellations made in less than 5 days will be charged a fee equal to one nights stay.

No-shows will be charged for one nights stay. 

You must call the office during regular business hours and receive a cancellation number for your cancellation to be valid.

There will be no refunds for early departure.

Check In & Check Out

Check-In Time is 3pm 
Keys are not available until the unit is ready for occupancy.  No exceptions to this policy will be made. Check In time is 3pm. If the room is ready earlier we will be glad to check you in.

Check-Out Time is 11am 
Guest(s) not departing as agreed will be subject to additional charges as applicable.

Keys

All keys are to be left in the room at the time of check-out. Guest(s) are normally issued one set of keys at check-in. The guest(s) are responsible for any lost keys. If the locks at the unit must be re-keyed in the event the keys are lost, misplaced, not returned, etc. by the guest(s), the cost of this procedure will be the responsibility of the guest(s).

No Parties/No Extra Guests 

Rental guest understands and agrees that we will accept families, married couples, and responsible adults over the age of 21 only.  Guest(s) also agree that the premises shall not be occupied by more than the number of people stated on the reservation.  If the unit is occupied by more than the number of people stated it will result in loss of total rent, and/or additional charge to credit card. 

 

Occupants in use of premises shall not be such as to disturb or offend neighbors in any manner.  The use of firearms or fireworks is strictly prohibited.  Any complaints of any nature will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis and dealt with accordingly.

Castle Inn Stairways  

The Castle Inn Hotel is on the second floor with stairway access only.

The rooms are up two levels of stairs from the parking lot, or one level if accessed from Main Street. 

Pets

No pets are allowed on the premises.  Any evidence of a pet of any kind on the premises will result in an additional charge of $100 or more. This policy will be strictly enforced at all times. 

 

The only exceptions that are made will be for service animals and law enforcement canines.  However, this must be discussed at the time of booking with the reservationist, to ensure that there are no problems and/or misunderstandings at check-in.

Weather Refunds

No refunds will be given for cancellation or interruption that occurs due to inclement weather.

In the event of appliance or mechanical failure of any type at the unit, we will make every attempt to repair the problem or move the guest(s) to a different unit if possible.  Please notify our office immediately of any problems that you encounter.  Please keep in mind that the property has been reserved and held for you and that others may have been turned away.  Therefore, please do not ask for refunds.

Damages

Guest(s) shall leave premises in neat and undamaged condition. All missing or damaged linens will be charged back to the guest staying in that room. Smoking is not allowed in the rooms.  Failure to follow any of these rules will result in loss of deposit and/or additional charges to the guest(s) credit card.

Guest(s) shall be solely responsible for any property damage, accident, injury or loss substained by any person including loss of money, jewelry, and any other items or personal property arising out of or in any related to guest(s) request.  Guest(s) assumes the risk of injury or other losses relating to any recreational activities and will hold Castle Inn harmless with respect there to. 

 

Castle Inn is not responsible for articles left on premises.  Lost and found items will be held for 30 days.  After such time all items will be donated to charity.

Loss and Damage

Guest agrees to indemnify and save The Castle Inn, its employees, and contractors free and harmless from any claim or liability for an loss or damage whatsoever arising from related to, or in connection with the rental of any unit/property, including but not limited to any claim or liability for personal injury or damage or loss of property which is made, incurred or sustained by guest or any invitees.

Linens and Supplies

The Castle Inn guest will receive Partials during their stay provided the Maid Service Sign is on the door.

Balcony Policy 

The Castle Inn promotes a smoke free environment. If you choose to smoke you must do so on the balcony with the door to the room closed so no smoke enters the room. If smoking occurs in the room you will immediately be charged a $75.00 fee.

Published Rate Info

All published rates are nightly rates with the exception of the weekly rate which is for 7 consecutive nights.  However, please be advised that the rates do not include applicable taxes.

Fees

All rooms subject to taxes and a 3.99% administrative fee for credit card processing convenience. Guests paying in cash avoid this fee.
